Today, the USA series "Burn Notice" was shooting right across from our building.

Upon waking, Chris and I thought that the major crime had taken place in the abandoned building across the way (left, with the potted palms). We didn't hear any shots the night before... maybe a bum stabbing?  Serial killer?  Why else would the CSU unit and the SWAT team be there?  Why is a fire truck there? Why is there no news team?!

After monitoring the situation all morning, and seeing various strange things (video equipment under a tent off to the side, which we thought might be the CSU team's; odd things that looked like possible catering or airline food carts going into the side of the building; and an awful lot of plainclothes people amounting to one of those forced diverse groupings you see in advertising), we finally saw a crane setting up with a camera.

Ooh. So, that's why it wasn't on the news....  Wait... who's Miami Metro? We had a glimmer of hope that Dexter was shooting, but no, it was Burn Notice.  (See my Flickr feed for more pics). We definitely caught the director, but alas, no Bruce Campbell.  That would just be too much to hope for.
