Red Bull Flugtag Miami 2010 @ Bayfront Park. This was pretty frakin awesome. This was team #1, the Flying Manatees, from Miami Beach. Their flying machine did fly pretty far. For a manatee.

Chris took the day off and I cut out early to hit up the Miami Metro Zoo (recently renamed Zoo Miami. Not sure if I like the new name) and get our memberships.

This is one of the gorillas, right after he hugged and then patted his fellow gorilla on the ass. He looks smug.

Ok, so I take a lot of pictures of this orchid. It's the only thing living in the house that is still, and I'm amazed it is still hanging in there. I know zero about the care and art of orchid maintenance, so I'm sure once this flower drops, it's sayonara little plant. Maybe a certain Darling, Dearest Husband I know will bring me more photo subjects once that happens. Either that, or you'll have to "suffer" through a plethora of pics of him while I master portrait photography.
